Dangit, i meant we dont have freeways* my bad. We only have highways.

Americans call a high speed controlled access dual or quad carriage way road, a freeway.
Common Canadian parlance calls them highways. But (legally, everything is a highway according to the Highway Traffic Act in Ontario)
The British call them motorways.
The Australians call them roadies
That last one might be made up.
The Autobahn!
Doesnt freeway mean morefree of obstruction, like ibtersections and traffic lights? Not so much as free of charge. Or have i had it wrong here the whole time?
Freeways are minimum double two lane divided roads without intersections, higher speed limits and restricted to cars, trucks, buses that go at a minimum speed of 60-70 km/h. Crossing are done through bridges, on and off ramps. No pedestrians, horses, horse or mule pulled wagons, bikes, motorcycles below a certain volume or HP are allowed.

This has certainly always been my understanding as well, not toll booths or fees for using the road.
