I have read that Taiwan has some pretty good hydroponic agriculture (soil-less farming using nutrient solution), particularly in Taichung. I am interested in visiting some of these hydroponic greenhouses but i could not find anything on the internet. However, i know they are there because i found references to Taiwan’s hydroponic greenhouses in Changhua. Does anyone on this forum know of such greenhouses/farms and where they are located/how i can contact them?
Next time post once and someone will get around to answering it or pm the person you who said something about it.
You want to contact Gao Dejing at Taichung Agricultural Extension located at 370 Songhuai Rd, Dacun, Changhua County. His email is kaotc(stick an at sign here)tdais.gov.tw as he’s the “Godfather” of Taiwanese hydroponics and almost all the hydroponic farmers are his former students. If you visit the place just tell the security guard in Chinese that you are going to the farmer center then take the first right after entering, go about 2-300 meters and you’ll see the Farmer Center on your left. This farmer center is fantastic so please be polite. Someone I know can’t get past the security guard for the one in Pingdong. The farmer center will direct you to where to go.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I wasn’t sure where this topic belonged which is why i posted it in several places…
The information is very useful! Do you happen to have his name in Chinese? And you are referring to the farmer center at the Agricultural Extension in Dacun, yes?
His Chinese name is 高德錚. Yes that’s the place. I was just there today. If you go bring some ID for the security guard, as I had to bully my way through since I forgot mine.
