I just dont get what Taiwanese girls think!

I have only been in Taiwan for like 3-4 months to learn chinese so I wont say im good at chinese yet but good enough to survive and speak daily life.

I accidentally met this local girl and she WAS really into me.
in one week, she racked up her phone bill up to 3000NT, she asked me to move in with her and go to Taoyuan with her as she’s gonna do her Master degree there on September.

I was a bit hesitating as I have a year apartment contract and if I move out, I lost my 25000NT but I said I might as I started to love her even more.
I stayed at her places in the first few days… I went out with her and her friend. I thought being friendly with her friend is a good move but once her friend went home, she told me she didnt like the fact that im being good to her, she was jealous. talked for a while and she back to normal
just about one week, she just sent me SMS saying dont come, after all, I dont love you that much.
I was like WTF, I called her for likes 3 hours just to find out that her friends were flaming her that ABC loves to play and never serious plus I gonna go back eventually. she said im arrogant for saying Taiwan salary is low for entry level (which she AGREED TOO that time) and we have maid back home. she said my jokes overdid it but she never told me anything before. I was like… if you didnt like it, say it in the first place and so I wont speak anything that may hurt her. I could calm her and we went back together.

one day she called maid to clean her apartment and she told me I was so lucky to get her as lots of guys have been chasing her. I might smile while I sleep, she said. I noticed that too as many guys called her at night time. she said out of many people, one of them is a doctor and other have a freaking Lamborghini. she said it’s because they cant make her laugh as I do to her.

she the week after, she did the same too, this time, even worse. my friends are curious about how she looks so I showed her picture. they said she is cute and I told her that. she texted me saying something like “so what? I dont need anyone telling me what do I look like, I know it myself and I dont feel anything special” . she texted to me, “I keep thinking, after all I dont love you that much plus my chinese sucks that she could not discuss about politics and business. I’m living a TOO GOOD life as I dont go to work here (I would like to work but my chinese sucks and my passport is not from english-speaking country so english teacher is out of my option). You dont read book (how to get rich in 50 days, donald trump, etc lol) everyday. I can take care of myself and I dont need a man. Once I moved to Taoyuan, I wont be able to see you anymore, anyway”.

she wouldnt picked up my phone after that last SMS for like 2 days even though I called her hundreds time and sent her millions of SMSes.
I got upset and went clubbing with friends. she suddenly called me at 3AM while I was clubbing. I got pumped up and yelled at her, yes it was my biggest fault.
well I just asked her WHY with not so friendly tone… not actually I yelled at her. she told me she packed my stuff and gonna put it in the receptionist for me to take and hung up the call straight away.

the day after, she texted me saying my stuff is ready to pick but she still wouldnt answer my call nor my SMS. so I went there to take my stuff but I stayed there hoping I could see her and talk in person. I texted her saying sending millions of SMSes is not cheap, just talk for like 5 minutes and if she doesnt like it, she can hang up. God bless she called me, she said it’s all over, she doesnt wanna see me anymore. I called her “baobei” and she said not to call her with that as I dont deserve to call her with that name anymore. she got annoyed. she said if I waited at the receptionist and she saw me there, she would move out and would just completely ignore me. she said, maybe I could see you again in the future, but not this few weeks. I kept saying sorry I was drunk and it was really my fault but she wouldnt forgive me.

so it only lasted for 2 weeks. Oh yes, we spoke in chinese as she cant speak english.
I dont regret it as it was a wonderful experience! I dont think we will get back together again though…

my question is just, are Taiwanese girls so easy to change my mind?
in the morning she said she loves me and half day later, she said she doesnt love me anymore.
she said i was funny but I wasnt later on.
she laughed and kept cuddling me but her attitude changed on the phone.
I just dont want to make the same mistake when I find a new one.
Am I missing something or it’s just her? :frowning:
any other tips when you are in relationship with local girls?

Sorry about my messy english. lol

How old are you? You sound really young. So does she. The girl isn’t worth pursuing, in my opinion. That said, there’s someone for everyone.

You come across as a little needy. Step back a little, stop sending “millions” of SMS messages and calling her “hundreds” of times. That really puts girls off.

Sounds to me like she’s insecure and immature.

Move on.

Date a woman, not a girl. Seriously, how old is she? 14?

Welcome to Taiwan !!

Find someone more mature. Also find someone with whom you can communicate via email. It’s much cheaper!

:ponder: Date a woman, not a girl. Seriously, how old is she? 14?[/quote]

LOL, almost, you missed one number though, she’s 24. prolly she’s spoiled too much as she’s from rich family.

I dont usually do that. it’s just I thought she was serious with me so I put my whole feeling trying to love her as well, just when I loved her and she dumped me, I went a little bit out of control maybe :ponder:

she’s a bit behind on technology i think… not internet at her apartment, no facebook and her laptop is like from the 90s, I couldnt even turn it on. :unamused:

More facetious rubbish from tommy.

As for the OP, serves you right: for falling for a girl that WILLINGLY moved to Taoyuan. Anybody with any sense is doing, or has done the exact opposite. Give up your pathetic non-sentient whinging, and get on with The Great Game. But get to what’s real the next time you wanna play!
:smiling_imp:

OK. 1. She is what is known as a psycho xiaojie. Avoid them.
2. Don’t move in with someone the first week you meet them. Any personality problems and character defects will take a little more time to become obvious.
3. You seem a little too controlling as well. Don’t phone or text someone hundreds (or even dozens) of times a day.
4. Money seems to be a big issue for her. She calls you arrogant for the slight criticism you made of Taiwan’s entry-level salaries (which was true), then bragged her family has a maid, then made said maid come over and clean her apartment, then claimed she can take care of herself and doesn’t need a man. No - she needs daddy and a maid. I would try to avoid women like this as well.
There are lots of very nice Taiwanese women. Try to meet one somewhere other than at a club, try to develop the relationship slowly. Or: meet women at clubs, go out with lots of them, and just have fun.

Run Away!!!

24 - a girl.

She is probably a creative type with a big amygdala. They respond well, or better, to alpha males. If you want her back, forget the text messages and the fawning phone calls. Just tell her, once, what you want to do, and she may follow. If you get to talk to her again, don’t apologize, and forget ‘normal’ thinking. Read up on emotional intelligence and relationships. Not for you? Then continue to dump her by being nice.

:roflmao:

Chuckles.

(If the females aren’t a-respondin’, then maybe they aren’t alpha males? You can’t just BE and alpha male.)

Take off five to ten years to get her real age.

I went through similar nonsense with a 28 year old Taichunger. And again with a 33 year old from Shangers - 33 going on 13.

So I’m single now, and I’ll be posting about this later in the day…

LOL.

yeah I stopped calling and sending her SMS from the day I posted this thread.
God bless she called me 5 times at really late time last night and I didnt pick the phone cause i was partying
I sent her one SMS today saying Sorry I was sleeping and what’s up?.
couple of SMSes and I’ve got funny answer, I do sometimes think about you but dont get me wrong, I dont wanna get back with you.
What an uncertain answer. it’s like she wants me yet she doesnt want me.
So I told her I’m a loser for loving her and I stopped sending my SMS right there :fume:

Next Stop… Carnegie!!! :discodance: :roflmao:

But seriously, she sounds completely thick and irritating. Why do you care? She is playing you because she has no self-esteem, and watches too much TV and thinks that’s how you are ‘supposed’ to behave. Just ignore her. People who are as needy as hell, but keep you at arms’ length, never change. Not while they still look good, anyway …

If 24 = still lives at home with Mummy and Daddy + has no life experience + always gets her own way + has a Hello Kitty fixation + likes “Shopping and sleeping and watching TV”; you’re essentially dating a teenager.

Just for future reference, this is where the story should have ended.

Define life experience?? I was married before 24.

In that case, I highly doubt you’re a twenty-something or thirty-something with the brain and emotional maturity of a teenage airhead bimbo.
