My room is pretty messy and I hate cleaning. I’d like to get a maid over once a month to do a day’s work and make the place spotless.
Does anyone have a maid that they recommend? What are the rates? Do they iron? Bring their own equipment?
More importantly, I believe you should be asking about the costume they wear when they clean.

When I was living in Banciao and had a one bedroom two story (loft) style apartment, I also wanted a maid. I asked the woman who cleaned the various floors at the school I was teaching. She charged me 1,000 NT per week for 4 hours each week. She organized my cupboards, changed my linen and washed my clothes and dishes. She even ironed my shirts. She even ironed my sheets for me. I would get home every Wednesday just as she was finishing up and the place would be absolutely spotless. She was married or I would have been tempted to get closer. I think it is pretty easy to find others like this. Just ask around.
Exactly right. A man needs a maid. I’ve got an Indo lass who pops in once a week when I’m at work and does the ironing, mops the floors and generally rearranges my life. If only I could get her onto sorting out my finances . . . erh, maybe that would be a mistake?
