I gotta iBook G4 and the battery is fucked. Can I get a new one locally, and will it work? How much time can one expect from a ibook battery?
Try the Apple shop on Bade. But I expect they’ll have to order one from Singapore.
That, or see if you can pick up a use G4 somewhere.
Mine’s dead too, Sandman, and looking at Bade Road apple store for a replacement about two years ago they had one left (and that was old too, though still unused and unopened). Still was going to cost about 200 bucks, which given the age of the laptop was not really worth it. Other Apple stores had nothing in stock but could order me one from the States or Singapore for even more money.
I have just used it as a second machine with the power cord permanently attached since then.
