Maybe we’ll learn a little more about CB Ford if Leader McConnell is able to release any details of the FBI investigation, which I understand has now been turned over to the Senate Committee.
I doubt we’ll learn more about Ford in this context considering the FBI investigation is a background check on Kavanaugh.
I also doubt anything earth-shattering enough to derail his confirmation will come to fore.

Well, there is more to the story than just Ford testifying. But, that is not the point who is right or wrong. The important thing is that there is a very sizeable part of your country who think he is a rapist/not suitable for the Supreme Court.
It is detrimental to peoples trust in the Supreme Court, and hence in fair application of the law if the institutions are seen as biased or staffed by people who are not suitable.
Justice needs to be seen to have been served, and the fact of the matter is(irrespective of your own opinion) there are many who believe justice have not been served if this guy gets chosen.
The above is not rocket science, so the above should not be too hard for you to comprehend.
