If I leave Taiwan, can I report my 2023 earnings early and get a tax refund early?

If I decide to leave Taiwan for example in November (not that I am), could I go to the tax office, report my earnings up to that point and get my tax refund earlier, or would the tax refund still come in August the following year like it usually does?

You can report but you’d need a guarantor or some such bullshitz

Following year as usual. An American friend of mine returned to the USA. He advised tax office to issue his refund to me. I popped it into his account withdrew the funds and sent it by T/T to him.

I had to deal with this once. At the time, I couldn’t file early, even after the end of the year. The only option was to have sign a form to authorize a friend to do it. But he flaked on me and it didn’t get filed. Years later, I came back and, when I filed for my first year back, they found the missing filing and filed them together. No penalties because I was getting a refund.
