If someone dies, is their guarantor responsible for their debt?

If a person took out a loan with a guarantor, if they didn’t pay, the guarantor would be responsible. However, what happens if the person who took out the loan dies? Is the guarantor still liable to pay, or are there different rules for when the debtor dies?

If the debt can’t be repaid by the estate of the guarantee, the guarantor will have to pay it. This should be detailed in the loan documents though.
