How often do buxibans actually get checked by immigration? I am not talking about kindys.
Can anyone comment on how long they have been here and how many times they have actually had to show their ID to the police while working in a buxiban?
It depends.
Taipei City checks more than Taipei County.
If the school has a “track record” of employing illegally, they get checked more often.
If located in a highly competitive area, other cram schools might call and report suspicion of illegal employment, which may result in a surprise visit.
I’ve been here 4 years, but only worked in bushibans for about 6 months. During that time, one of the schools got “raided” once. I don’t think private elementary/junior/senior highs get checked, at least mine never did in 4 years.
