Looking for a restaurant suitable for a group of 20 people, our local office + management from overseas.
upscale, with alcohol, close to Nangang.
any recommendations welcome.
Do they accept split bills?
thank you! However, 200 usd per person… times 20…no taipei dinner is worth 4,000 usd
What about The Yen at W hotel? But need to call: https://marriottbonvoyasia.com/restaurants-bars/WTaipeiYENChineseRestaurant
This one is good for local food (but more like Shanghai food). You can get their private room with big round table: https://goo.gl/maps/7MdUiJgqhff3VWYh6
20 might be a crowd though for this one
You’re going to struggle to get upmarket plus cheap. If they’re overseas clients I would go for Three Coins. A local kind of experience and not too expensive.
Siang Sian in Nangang. Can also book private rooms:
Here is an affordable option if you want everyone seated together on one big table: https://goo.gl/maps/cRWc7DsLQAKcrByw5
You can use your taipei library membership card for a discount
Afterwards you can walk around in Liberty square
Thank you,
i know that upmarket and cheap dont go together, but 6000 NT$ per person (Raw price) is excessive for a work event. I am sure there are enough good options at cheaper prices.
Shinyeh in 101. Great views. It’s Taiwanese food though. Our guests loved it.
edit - seems that branch has shut down.
Three Coins is a really good choice, IMO.
Shin Yeh 101 is no more. There is one at Xinyi A9.
If you wanted to swap “impressive” for “exclusive”, you could try booking out an entire place like this one in Nangang:
武侍酒 日式居酒屋
What about that Japanese drum restaurant on Guangfu?
I think I booked that one a few years ago. Was good fun. Had our own room.
i think it closed during covid
Shit another one I could recommend gone lol. Be sounding like tommy soon.
Dammit. I did nae get the memo.
