Insecta of Taiwan

Great thread.

Perhaps some kind of crane fly. That body is long, not round… it’s curled up so looks are deceiving.

With my limited Biological skills , I could only deduce that it was a fly on a wall :yum: Don’t you miss the banter on your desert island ? :yum:

Lets start one then! Though im not touching the taxonomy issue and relationships between certain crustaceans and insects…thats one for the majors haha.

Nice crab though. We found a lot the other night and took some pics while searching put feogs at a new location near our house. They are pretty fun little guys, and i am very much ignorant about them

Umm, I’m not getting much luck searching ‘put feogs’.

maybe i need another covfefe.

Done! feel free to add your happy crustacean adventure diaries to this thread.

Dammit! Searching for frogs…this is why i like keyboards not smart phones.

You might not always want to google my typos though, could get weird.

I wonder whether those legs are for landing or walking on water.

Could be both, no?

Working in hualien and going around toroko at night.

Haha. I dont bite anymore, too dirty. I clip them short intentionally as my work is mostly hands on so broken nails hurt…i never claimed to be pretty
