I’d be really grateful if someone technically oriented could help me out on this perplexing issue I’m having.
My Internet will work for a while, then disconnect for a bit only to start working again. Anytime I try to open a page there is a 50% probability I’ll receive the 'This page cannot be displayed" message. When I see this message, it shows nothing wrong in the wifi status bar at the bottom right and it has a strong connection. I am close to the router. Numerous other devices connect to the wifi without a problem. When I click ‘troubleshoot problems’ the Internet works again but stops working after a few minutes.
I have tried reinstalling the wireless adaptor and have updated the driver. This issue is driving me insane.
Which web browser do you use / operating system ? Might not solve the problem but try installing Chrome to see if your present browser doesn’t have messy add-on… google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
As you said, it seems your internet connection is right.
I found the problem. The desk that my PC was on was in a dead spot it seems. When I use it a metre from the desk it works perfectly. Pretty strange. I’ve encountered these dead spots before…
