I don’t really get this ‘need for speed’ that many go on about world wide. I guess a few ‘gamers’ want ‘speed of light’ speeds, but honestly, who else needs that. We get about 100/50 from CHT in Taiwan and similar from TPG when in Australia. In both cases its Fibre to the Basement comms room, and copper telephone line for the last bit.
With its “Great Firewall,” China came in 161st place, just behind Bangladesh and one notch ahead of Nicaragua. Yemen came in last place overall with a snail-like speed of 300 Kbps, not quite a third of a megabit and even pokier than 3G mobile internet.
Yemen must still be on dial-up technology.
How much are you paying for this per month? Thank you.
What if I don’t need such fast upload speed? Diggin the 1G download though.
