Oh hell yeah!
SpaceX launches secret ‘Optus-X’ payload atop Falcon 9 rocket
Nov. 17 (UPI) – SpaceX launched what has been a top secret mission just before dusk on Sunday, not releasing the contents of its payload and changing its original mission name.
The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 5:28 EST. SpaceX called the mission “TD7,” even though regulatory filings and U.S. government agency and regulatory findings, including the Space Force and the Federal Aviation Administration, call the payload “Optus-X.”
So, SF is monitoring all stuff thrown into orbit worldwide, or just NASA stuff?
What time is SpaceX’s Starship Flight 6 launch test on Nov. 19? | Space
SpaceX is gearing up to launch its next Starship test flight, a mission that will attempt a second catch of the world’s largest rocket on Tuesday (Nov. 19). But if you’re hoping to watch the launch live online, you’ll need to know when to tune in.
Currently, SpaceX’s Starship Flight 6 test flight is scheduled to launch no earlier than Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. EST (2200 GMT) from the company’s Starbase site in South Texas, near Boca Chica Beach. This will be SpaceX’s sixth test flight of a Starship spacecraft and its Super Heavy booster, as well as the second attempt to catch the giant Super Heavy after a stunning launch and rocket catch last month.
Liftoff is good; no go for tower catch, so water landing for the booster.
kewl.
Brining the top part down now-- “Really pushing it today.”
There’s a whole thread for these launches
No, SpaceX is not going public.
And no, Elon will never take SpaceX public.
He may spin off Starlink into a separate company and IPO that. But never SpaceX.
It was always possible for an ordinary person to purchase shares of SpaceX in the private markets. Yes, there are some legal/investment requirements, but it was always possible. Same with OpenAI. They have a share price. You can buy it today. If you know the right people.
That’s not what the article states tho is it?
Finally — SpaceX is Going Public
Post title. Both “Going Public” and “Finally” are wrong
We’ll see. I’d buy that too.
If you got a spare US$250K to invest into SpaceX, I can put you in touch with the right people
Let’s have it then.
Why be coy?
The title is incorrect, this is a tender offer, not an IPO.
Yeah I’m waiting to seewhat happens. Give me a better title— I’m flexible
“Space X offers Tender” doesn’t have that snazz to it .
Not worry! Title change on the way thanks to @Marco
All hail @Marco
Ha, the right people! Just check equityzen, hiive, etc.
As SpaceX is not publicly traded, purchasing its stock is not available to everyone. To buy the stock of a private companies like SpaceX, you must be an accredited investor.
Ok well that was fun while it lasted.
Oh well— live and learn.
OK, so living and learning. Just saw that SOFI allows you to invest in Space X shares they owe-- for a nice fee, but there are too many hoops, 25K buy in and accredited blahblahblah.
However, ARK Venture Fund looks a bit better. High fees, but only a $500 buy in.
ARKVX
Space X is the top holding, at 12%.
Looks like CS will allow me to buy.
Hmm, he says. Hmmmm.
Did you check the requirements for being an accredited investor? Might not be as high as you think.
More than $1million net worth.
Dude retired early and has talked about multi-country residence, so…? If he doesn’t meet that, could take the series 65, which is supposedly not that hard - just take a month or two reviewing some of the material (again, he’s retired and got time).

That route also requires having a sponsoring firm. So it may be more trouble than just having a $1M+ net worth (excluding primary residence).
More than $1million net worth.
Usually there’s a 200k earned income. That I do not have.
The 25K buy isn’t a deal breaker. But there are like 10% fees with the SOFI option–
The ARK fund looks more doable.
I’m not sure what certification I would need to be accredited. But some of the folks on reddit have mentioned that–
