Ah, yes. And Chen has chosen CAL to fly him to Africa, instead of his usual EVA airlines.
Must be some really greasy palms out there.
I seem to remember there was a falling out between Chen and the owner of EVA Airlines not so long ago. At the time I believe it was thought to be over the negotiations for the HK-Taiwan route. It wasn’t mentioned in the Taipei Times article, but then again there is never any investigative reporting in Taiwan. That’s more dangerous than flying CAL.
Well it is a state-owned company and the govt needs the revenues. So I’m not surprised.
