I always thought it was crim-ea.

(Now that it’s once again a region within Russia.)
Apparently it’s Крим in Ukrainian, which I would guess is pronounced ‘krim’ with a hint of ‘cream’. In Russian it’s “Крым” - virtually the same, short vowel sound. But whatever; in English, it’s “Crime-ea”.
It’s an important strategic point fought over by the powers that be for the last few hundred years. Russia usually wins it.
It’s not worth a world war to stop them.
They just keep coming back.

Who actually cares how it’s pronounced? The Russians have their fleet their for decades, nothing changes, nothing will happen … the earth keeps spinning … for a while longer. The only noteworthy manufacturing is that of adult diapers.
