Is Rakuten a Trustworthy Marketplace?

I found this product, which is too cheap to be an original apple product,
https://www.rakuten.com.tw/shop/chiying/product/ftk0wech9/
NTD 3400 for an Apple iPad 10.2 LTE (2019) 32G!
there’s a clearly written address of this store, has anyone here ever been dealing with this store?

Rakuten itself is trustworthy, but individual sellers on the platform might not be. Especially if the prices seem off.

From the address it seems like they do repair work and perhaps refurbished…? Although it does say it is new and sealed.

Similar to this shopee account. https://shopee.tw/shop/169043289/search?shopCollection=17105839

Same photo but pricing way different.

yes, but if they keep cheaters like that around doing their business, they can lose their status of trustworthy market place, i will avoid to buy something from there

ok, clearly the cheater is using legit address which obviously not his/her own store,
case closed.
thank you.

Many trustworthy popular international sellers have bad apples on their sites.

Especially when you are going to buy branded products. A company that has pricing policies for all it’s products and retailers.

It looks legit to me. The price is to entice people to switch carrier, i.e. you have to port your number from another carrier to TWM or FET, as it says " 攜碼 台哥大 遠傳 優惠價".

It also says “攜碼賣場需至門市申辦請洽客服” so you have to call their number and get it at their store in Banqiao.

The problem is they also sell wifi versions which also ridiculously cheap, how does the carrier discount work without the device? Also yesterday I mailed the store, still no response

That’s for sure.

Indeed

I made some occasional purchases on Rakuten, and my experience so far has been good. However, compared to other online marketplaces, Rakuten has more or less the same price level, so if you are considering it as a new service to use, I would say look elsewhere.
