It’s a few islands. Not part of a continent. It used to be, economically, but it’s not anymore.
It’s part of the European continent so is Iceland, just because it left the EU doesn’t mean it left Europe. If Texas left the United States it would still be in America.
There are a few people who wish it was so, but we can’t change the location.

This thread has got me reading up on how islands are allocated to continents. It’s all about association, so could be political as much as geographical proximity.
