If you have a work permit…but it is only good for under two months…then you can not apply for a resident visa…you need to apply for a tourist vistor visa…
please help me… thank you…
I don’t understand. Your work permit is tied to your ARC. You have to get your work permit BEFORE you can get your ARC, so if anything, its the work permit that should expire first.

Methinks you have landed a legal job here - and your employer has applied for and received your work permit - but you are yet to apply for an ARC. I also am guessing that you are currently on a visitor visa. Does this sound about right?
If so, you will probably need to leave the country, and present this stuff to the visa section of a TECO in some foreign land -
- Work permit.
- Original copy of the contract with your employer.
- Passport.
- Completed application form for a resident visa.
- A handful of photos.
You may also need (and this is completely random) -
- Contact information for your new employer.
- Onward flight ticket.
- A housing contract in Taipei.
- A tax certificate if you have worked here before.
- A health certificate that indicates you don’t have AIDS.
- proof of your residency in your home country.
Call the TECO you intend to visit before you leave Taiwan and make sure you know what they want.
Hope this is what you were after.
