My family lived in Taipei for most of 2025 and my son was in two separate experimental schools and had overall less than positive experiences. He is bi-lingual in English and another language and was learning Mandarin while he was there, but he encountered quite a bit of low/medium level bullying from teachers and kids. We are thinking about giving Taiwan one more shot, and some of his favorite non-schooling activities take place near Banqiao, so we would like to be located near there this time around.
We also have friends in Tainan, but the school they recommended… I watched the videos and everything looks ok until I saw the kids washing the teachers’ feet 
, and I don’t want my kid washing anybody’s feet.
We’re not interested in public schools (I went through it myself and I don’t have fond memories).
We’re open to Taichung because that’s where my Father was originally from and where I spent a lot of CNY holidays when I was a child, but I know nothing about the schools there.
So yea… Anyone have any ideas?
