EES 全名是，中文是「出入境系統」，這是歐盟為加強邊境安全推出的一套自動化IT系統。 EES 主要記錄非歐盟國家國民每次跨越申根區外部邊境時的出入境時間和地點，並計算其允許停留的時間，目的是為了加強邊境安全，監控逾期居留者，並提升歐盟的安全性。

I’m not looking forward to traveling in Europe when it’s first implemented. Airports will be a disaster signing everyone up with facial scans and finger prints.

If the eGates can handle that, I don’t see any issue. eGates in Taiwan already take fingerprints under certain circumstances.
This is Europe, not Taiwan. You can’t expect Europeans to be anywhere near as efficient.
Most airports in Europe have 2-3 e gates. I’m not talking about the major airports. And this is all ports of entry. All of them that need it not just airports.
They estimate the processing time for the first time will take 5min per person. It’s probably more like 6-7 if that’s their estimate. Some people can barely get through the e gate without being confused

I hope in Italy it remains fast. E gates have photo checks already, only extra step will be finger prints. (Next year you do pre entry approval with a fee). In Finland, it can be fast or slow dependent on the airline(some airlines with lots of South Asian non tourist, can take a hour+ to clear others with lots of Euros take 5 minutes to clear.) + Northern Europe is getting to check/ask more. (There are some spot checks even on land crossings (car/train/bus/walk)

I brought back some Sardines in the tin, made it here with some pasta. Now searching, its harder to buy Sardines here in Taiwan from the EU, not sure why.
Fly Ryan Air and ITA, both are fine. ITA is full service but costs more. You can use LH lounges which is nice.
Some have nice self service bars

Ita has been bought by LH. Next year it will fully enter star alliance
