I have been coming to Taiwan off and on for a decade+ - in that time I have worked and consistently paid tax.
In the last few years I have been working for an offshore company, whilst supplementing this income with standard teaching gigs.
I have read that the requirement in my situation would be that I merely need to show a year of continuous, uninterrupted residence. If this is so, then all that would remain is my income declarations.
The school which I earn the majority of my income has not reported my tax. Iām thus in a position where my income oscillates between meeting the threshold and not (as is declared in tax). I work for multiple language companies.
Would I be able to include my overseas income? Is it true that my current stint of uninterrupted 365+ residence in addition to my decade+ long history would meet the residency requirement?
Any input would be met with gratitude. My JFRV expires in mid 2025. I want the added security of an APRC.
