Same as anywhere else. Sign up ahead of time then go to the designated location on the test date. You should bring your own non-smart watch.

But anything below N2 is a waste of money tbqh

Well, unless u want to work at a Japanese company, passed N5 quite some time ago and It was very useful, can communicate for very easy stuff

It is a massive affair. Think thousands of people in a single location…and hundreds of locations all over the country.

Going from the MRT station to the test facility, a college, was like getting back from the fireworks at Taipei 101 on New Year 's eve.

Testers took over several buildings in this one facility. Very strict test rules. Must be very attentive to instructions.

Most people tell you to skip level 5 and start at 4. I failed the test as my listening comprehension sucks so next time I’ll take 4.

Nothing wrong with reaching that level but the certificate’s only use is to be hung up on a wall.

There’s another, cheaper, test you can take. I think it runs every month and does a better job of measuring your level. Apparently companies like it too for that same reason, but it can’t be used for visa purposes.

I agree, though some companies ask for N3 as a minimum only to work for them.

You can take it here. Sadly, the registration period already closed for this second semester’s test.

I know the registration period passed. I will have to take it next year. In fact, it´s cheaper in TW (NT1500) compare to California (U$100)
