Does anyone have an invite for Joost Beta? I would LOVE to get my hands on one.

Not really an alternative as they are very different. Joost would not require you to download the files.
PPStream and PPlive are great alternatives for use in Taiwan as they are out of China and most users are in Asia so the location of the stream and Peer streaming is further from my location. US streams work well for me and are very smooth.
PPstream works very well in Taiwan with TV quality. I am currently looking at all the alternatives for streaming TV that are available on the net, both out of personal interest and professional study.
I have not yet been able to get my hands on a joost invite. Not really interested in downloading as bt.icefish.org has all the Taiwan goodies.
