Thanks, I actually bought a Shoei Z8 helmet. Kind of expensive at 17k, but it’s worth it to protect my head.

I decided to opt for the latest Sym Duke, with lots of storage.
Only 68k brand new with 2k cash back and everything included, registration, license plate, insurance.
I think that’s a pretty good deal.

Don’t forget to look into 3rd party insurance and a dashcam on the scooter or getting a helmet mounted dashcam.

I just bought a Sym Duke, but I got the old model because the new one was 7k more.
A dash cam is definitely on my shopping list.
See if your scooter guy can install it into your scooter directly for you, front and back. A good mechanic should be able to do that for you. If you’re in Taipei I can give you directions to my guy. The setup is around $5000 and it’s better to have it directly on the bike than on your helmet.

How likely is my 17k helmet to get stolen ?
If it’s out of sight in your hatch under the seat, hopefully you’ll be okay. Don’t ever just use the metal ring on the strap to cling to the side like one can and then close the seat. That’s not secure. Someone would cut the strap just for the helmet, no question.
