For those of you who missed the announcement on the Events Board, The Forge hosted the first Kaohsiung BJJ Championships this past Saturday. Taiwan BJJ has held many successful grappling events in Taipei, but this was the first BJJ and submission grappling event ever held outside Taipei.
Congratulations to Gordon Preston of Evolution Combat for his wins and to all the other competitors who fought really well. The tournament was very well run, and I hope it sets an example for other clubs that you don’t have to as big as Taiwan as BJJ to hold a great event. I hope we can have more smaller events all over the island.
Finally, a huge thank you goes out to Ben Price and The Forge for their work hosting the event.
