Kaohsiung - Meeting Girlfriend's parents, need to find high-quality Tea

Has there ever been a thread where it hasn’t descended to this? :brain::cactus:

OP - go a bit leftfield, buy them a pack of Yorkshire Tea, jam it full of full fat milk and stick three teaspoons of sugar in there. Mint!

Even I’m not going to bother with that retardedness. TWG chose ther side, what’s done is done.

Lots of good tea suggestions here.

If you are still looking for teas, can pm me. local, organic, can send a few pics of the plants and such. the teas where I live that are good are oolong, ching and white. the green and and a few others ares so so in this region. but the ching varieties do stand out. it’s easy to spend a lot on tea here, but it really depends if you are wanting to impress based on quality or story. taiwan excels at selling both.

As requested here is the tea I bought:

Went to all the tea shops recommend above, but Positive Thoughts Teahouse was the only one with Taiwan BaiCha, I also liked the owners vibes. In addition I got one fragrant oolong and two high mountain roasted oolong. Thanks everyone for the help, couldn’t have done it without your suggestions

Those roasted high mtn ones ought to be interesting at the least! When it’s done well it’s a very pleasant result.

Had one a few days ago that clearly was roasted a bit too much, but next to it one which was really properly well done. Here’s hoping you’ve got the latter
