There’s lots of vegetarian food stands/hole-in-the-wall joints. Just get someone to help you learn the characters for “Veggie Food” (su4 shi2).
I don’t recall the locations, but there are a few large “all you can eat” places reasonably priced. Four years ago it was about $4 USD I believe. I’ll see if I can get the addresses next time I’m down there.
