Has anyone been to Kenting in December (between Christmas and New Year)?
Is it nice there during this time? The weather must be better than in the North but is it good enough to enjoy some holidays there e.g. with swimming and time at the beach ?
Thanks for your help…

if you family is from a place where 25 degrees is pretty warm, then you have nothing to worry about. If like most Taiwanese your family wants to put on a light jacket at 25 degrees then no, it’s probably not a good idea. In general Kenging hotels are very cheap and not overly crowded during the winter…
they only thing you need to consider is wind. winter is really windy once you lose the higher mountains and get near the tip. not a big deal unless you are camping. but maybe also keep in mind if swimming/snorkeling (winter is better as water isnt as murky from storms/rivers) wind chill when you get out. its never cold there really, but some will find the wind uncomfortable.
when you go, drive around the southern tip and start up the east coast (staying south). gorgeous through there. scooter si better, but may be dangerous in high wind if you ar enot used to 2 wheels.
