Are there any good kids-friendly places in Taipei for kids 5-9yo ? I know of Baby Boss and the Taipei Zoo. Just want to check if the good folks here have any suitable places to recommend, as my children are joining me next week over here ? Thanks!
It’s been a while since I visited but I’m almost positive ATT4FUN has a good size arcade somewhere inside. Renting bikes and going for a ride by the river is also fun for all ages, weather permitting.
You could go for a stroll or bike around Danshui, take in the view. Almost any night market has pachinko and other little carnival style games for kids to play. Eating a big shaved ice together is fun, too.
When i was little one of my favorite things to do was go to the little stores where they let you make your own bracelets, although I’m not sure where to find those anymore. There’s also some lego stores where you can go in and just play with the legos for a while, if you’re not afraid of germs.
Rock climbing gyms are quite popular with families around here, although you have to watch out for the adults there who are serious about it.

GoKarting in Neihu (I forget the name, will edit when I find it)
Taipei City Public Library
Early on weekends we go to the outdoor basketball court of our local elementary school, even though my kid doesn’t attend that school
