Kill Bill 2

Haven’t seen Kill Bill 2, but was very disappointed with the first part. I loved Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, so I had been hoping for something half-way reasonable.

There was no plot to speak of, along with silly characters and boring ‘tributes’ to other films. Making the hero female didn’t come close to making up for the lack of substance or originality.

I am a big fan of Hong Kong and Japanese cinema, so by rights I should have liked the thing. Instead I thought was a big heap of sh*t. It was a pale imitation of the films it was, err, imitating. . .

Visually it was interesting in parts, but with no pace or suspense it was was scarcely removed from MTV.

The scene where the two women are fighting, and are kind of eyeing each other as they notice the child, and then stop fighting. THAT was pretty cool and memorable. Unfortunately things didn’t pick up from there.
