Knee scan - hospital or clinic?

I’d like to get my knee scanned in Taipei and then get advice on what the results mean, if there’s a serious/chronic problem, advisability of continuing running/cycling/etc.
What I don’t know is whether I am better off doing this through a regular hospital, or one of the specialist clinics that seem to exist.
Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

I’d say get an MRI at a bigger hospital’s orthopedic clinic since it’s cheap. However presenting with generalized pain might not get you an MRI. What is the specific issue?

Go to an orthopedic specialist at a hospital. They will do an x-ray first. MRI would need to be scheduled.

Thank you very much both of you! Sore and week knee for a couple of years, I assume the cartilage is worn away from a misspent youth mashing too-high gears up hills on an old mountain bike. I’d like to know for certain what’s going on, and then get advice on how hard I can or can’t push it in the future.

I suppose I could start off by doing everything through a decent hospital, and then perhaps consider a more sporty-specialist clinic if I still had specific questions about running/biking, suitable physio, recovery etc.
