Kungfu for self defense @ daan park [wing chun]

Thierry Cuvillier is running a Wing Chun Kung Fu class at Taipei for the beginner and all level in Martial Art.

Wing Chun Kung Fu is suitable for everybody and can be adapted to suit all levels of fitness. Practice and training will itself develop, maintain and then increase each students fitness levels.

What is wing chun ?

Wing chun is a realistic and effective method for Self defense . This method was invented by a buddhist nun at the shaolin temple, who was one of the few surviviors to escape the sacking of the shaolin temple by Ching troops…

Wing Chun is not a sport, we train only for self protection , we do not have any grading or belt system.
Learning Wing Chun kung fu does not necessarily mean fighting or violence. In learning Wing chun, one aim is self -defense and improving one’s physical & mental conditions. Learning confidence and self-control in a engaging way.

The basic principles of Wing Chun are:

  1. SIMPLICITY: this means that all the movements are
    simple and uncomplicated;they are based on natural body movements.

2.DIRECTNESS: the principle of directness has two main means in the wing chun system : the shortest time and
distance are taken to stricke the opponent and
simultaneous counter-attack is used against an attack.

3.ECONOMY OF MOVEMENT: the minimum necessary movement is used in all the wing chun techniques.
