Kyle Rittenhouse’s VERY own Thread

Grosskreutz said that Rittenhouse had a very large caliber weapon. A .556 / .223 isn’t large. Here’s a comparison chart.

Felon Boy Grosskreutz was carrying a .40 handgun. Let’s compare entry and exit holes of his and Rittenhouse’s .556. If Felon Boy Grosskreutz had shot Rittenhouse, then he would have been charged with murder as getting hit with a .40 would almost assuredly result in the death of a Rittenhouse.

Speaks for itself.

It’s not. It’s what kids hunt with. But really anything is deadly from three feet away.

Oooh, @BiggusDickus is going to say you’re trying to make this a gun thread. ;D But yea, gun thread! :stuck_out_tongue: You are correct, Grosskreutz is incorrect in that a .556/.223 isn’t a particularly large caliber bullet.

But…

a .223/5.56 is a large round compared to a .40 - you can’t just look the caliber of the bullet like you’re trying to do with your graphics, especially comparing higher power rifle rounds to handgun rounds. Generally, a big handgun round is going to be a small rifle round, and rifle rounds almost always outperform handgun rounds (putting aside things like the little .22lr etc (which, of course, is also a popular pistol round)).

Here’s something with the size of the rounds in question:

A .223 and (even more so 5.56 (usually loaded at higher pressure than the .223, despite being mostly interchangeable in size)) packs a lot more energy than a .40 s&w. Describing a .223 as on border or a varmint round is kind of whack (yes, plenty of people use it as such, but c’mon (and I’ve seen that graphic at bass pro, and roll my eyes then too)). I don’t know if you’ve ever seen what a .223 / 5.56 does to a deer (or human) sized target… not pretty.

Yeah, we can just compare a .22 and a 5.56 and call them about the same. ha. That chart is pretty relevant, for paper. Other than that…

Some do… but you’re probably thinking .22lr

It disintegrated the guy’s bicep, didn’t it? I understand that automatic rifle rounds tumble and create horrific wounds despite their relatively smaller caliber. Not sure if that’s true right out of the barrel but they must pack a lot of energy at that point.

Breaking news…

Not right out of the barrel, but on impact (edit: to be clear, sometime after impact, not necessarily on impact itself). They also break apart a lot more than pistol rounds (due to the higher velocity - that’s why .223 rounds basically have to be jacketed, whereas a .22lr can get away without it (it can tear itself apart before you want it to)).

Golly, if only someone had suggested that the charge couldn’t possibly apply, or that the statute was internally inconsistent and therefore unconstitutionally vague. . . .

I’m sorry, Mr. Prosecuting Attorney, what? No, I don’t watch the news. I’ve never heard of this Kevin Ritter guy. Tee-hee! That guy with the missing bicep is so cute! And I just love your face fur! Oh, me? I used to work in a nail salon, but they closed due to the Shanghai Sneezefest. So are you married? jiggles boobs Oh fine, I’ll stick to the questionnaire. What’s the question again? Oh, no, I’m fine with a few weeks here. Do we get free lunch? Awesome! Sure, I like Asian food. Impartial? Of course!

No, I wasn’t. My kid used a .223.

Wouldn’t worry about it - they just took a two-hour lunch break anyway lol.

What?

What’s he sporting in .223, and what’s he hunting?

Deer.

Anyway, I see the underage gun charges have been dismissed

Prosecutor Binger told jury today that “You lose the right to self-defense when you’re the one who brought the gun.”
Obviously failed his Amendment course and in one swoop is disregarding 2A.

He’s mocking KR now. It’s not a good look.

Prosecution has rested. Defense is up. Man, that guy is not smooth. He’s speaking in high school iambic pentameter. But the facts, yo. The facts are the facts.

When he starts on about the difference between the legal protesters downtown and the rioters later on in the night, well, wow. I’ll be surprised if that part doesn’t become a video sound bite.

“He bought him off with a bear claw.”

The closing was a slow walk and talk through the video. Split second trial.

Let’s be honest, the mob has already decided he’s guilty. The threat of riots from the mob means he’s going to be sent down.

Yes. I’ve seen what a .556 round can do to a person. I’m a Marine.
