Can some one point out a link to the labor law in English?

Labor Standards Law

Note: I don’t think the LSL applies to teachers at buxibans.

WHat proffesions would be subject to this law. I am under the assumption that it would include professions that thais’, phillipino/as’ indonesians’ work in. Construction, etc. More in the area of manual labour.

Could any one provide a definition of labour that the ROC law is based on.

Why would teachers be excluded from this?

Is it in terms of money paid for services rendered or the teaching profession is not recognized as a profession?

I have never been able to figure this out myself.

Interestingly enough, according to the Employment Services Act (ESA), even “volunteer services” provided by foreigners require a work permit . . . . . . I am just pointing this out because most people you talk to don’t consider “volunteer services” to be work or labour or employment, but the ESA does . . . . . . and then at the same time the Labor Standards Law does not apply to buxiban teachers . . . . . .

So your guess is probably as good as anyones . . . . . (sorry if I sound too cynical . . . . . . I have previously sued the Council of Labor Affairs over this, however I have gotten no positive results to date . . . . . . )
