Language barrier was the biggest barrier in Taiwan for me.
Often, I found that The girls wanted to talk to me so much but because of my lack of mandarin,
I was unable to get into much of a conversation. (I’m an attractive guy). Because we can’t communicate much,
The girl would often leave me or get bored because there was nothing else to say.
Help me out here.
What kinds of things do Taiwan girls generally like to talk about? At least I can
learn mandarin for those subjects so that I can express myself more or have some kind of a
Deep conversation.
Could you fill us in with a bit more info?
Could you tell us how long you’ve lived here for? What is your current level? Have you studied Chinese before by yourself or at school?
I’m sorry but I don’t think it works like that. Without a solid foundation of grammar and sentence structure, a ‘deep conversation’ is going to be tough.
You know I spent two whole days with a Bahasa phrase book before a date with an extremely hot Indonesian who only knew, “No English,” as she waved her hand. It’s a shockingly easy language, but then again, anything is compared to Chinese. We wound up speaking crappy Mandarin. It didn’t work out. But kudos to this guy for the effort
