So, I want to learn a bit of viseo editing. Can someone suggest the minimum spec that I need in a laptop for this kinda thing. Plan to buy the laptop this week. I’ve used Sony Vegas a bit in the past. Which software would you suggest for a learner?

I’d suggest a 13" or 15" Macbook Pro with Final Cut Pro X
It sounds like the OP is a beginner. I’m not sure a $60,000 Mac is really needed.

Does it have to be a laptop? Sounds painful.
I have a newer Macbook Pro that I’ll only resort to editing photos if I’m on the road. Otherwise a workstation is more bang for the buck.

It’s not a bad price. 3C sells the same model (Toshiba L850-011001) for $26,800. Ideally, you would want a better video card (GPU), but those ones are far out of your price range.
