So I am wondering when will be that last date I can go to renew my ARC (it is a 6 month extension) which will be up in 17th July.
The reason I ask is because I started working a couple of months ago, and initially I was just going to apply for a new ARC with the school no problem.
Of course that was until Covid.
I also had a delay in which I was waiting for my returned ARC as I had updated address, which in turn I have only just gotten back.
At first my employer confirmed after I read the news that all people with expiring ARCs will be given a courtesy 30 day extension, until I recieved a letter over the weekend telling my to renew 30 days prior to expiry, as of which now is already less than 30 days.
My worry is, after calling immigration I was told this isn’t the case and will need to come in in person to renew, unless of course lockdown is extended then I will automatically receive the extension.
After calling my employer they said they will also apply for my extension on the 9th, however my worry is that this is cutting it very short in which I will only have 8 days left to renew…
So tl;dr:
When is the last day I can renew?
If I went as late as expiry date, would I have much to worry about in terms of consequence?
Of course it is likely lockdown will extend, and my problems will be solved, but as you can imagine I want to be as safe as possible.
