Leaving Taiwan soon, how to claim back any tax since June?

Hi all,

The time has come for me to leave Taiwan unfortunately so I’m getting my affairs in order so to speak. I just realised that I ought to check if there’s a way to get a refund (or partial refund) on the tax I paid for the last few months. When I did my taxes in June I got a health refund so it would be a bit annoying to not get back what I’ve paid in tax since,

Is this possible?

Yep, just head to your local tax office.

Thanks. Do you know how long it’ll take. I’m flying out about two weeks after I get my last pay check. It’ll get sent to my bank I guess but then I don’t know how I’ll access it when I get home/I will probably need to close my bank account before leaving.

I would go asap to leave yourself room for error. Ask them how you can get your money quickly.
