Let's talk about Trump

Woohoo! Three cheers for the home team! You’ll have finally gotten a president back in the White House. And he’ll be Donald Trump.

So Trump says he’s going after Hillary because of Bill.

A good debate reply would be “there are two candidates in this debate who have been in an adulterous marriage: one was lied to and cheated on, the other was a liar and a cheat. And there’s only one candidate here who has been accused in sworn court depositions of sexual assault abnd rape.”

You’d think the media might mention that any time Trump brings it up, but I guess the talking heads are too afraid he’ll boycott their show and their bosses will make them do a Megyn Kelly to crawl back into favour.

And speaking of the Clenis, anybody here from good ol’ Ken Starr lately?
Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.
— Hillary Clinton November 23, 2015

You’d think the news media might at least once ask the next president’s spouse why he has never denied Juanita Broaddrick’s repeated public accusations that he raped her.

For someone who so consistently talks about the flaws of the justice system, you sure don’t have much respect for the concept of innocent until PROVEN guilty.

What does Donald J. Trump want to do during his first 100 days as President? Approve the Keystone Pipeline, cancel the Paris climate agreement, and open up drilling on federal lands:

Meanwhile…

Donald Trump wants to build a wall – to save his golf course from global warming
However, as reported by Politico, Trump acknowledges the reality and threats posed by human-caused global warming when it comes to protecting his own assets, and in keeping with his affinity for building walls:

The New York billionaire is applying for permission to erect a coastal protection works to prevent erosion at his seaside golf resort, Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, in County Clare.

A permit application for the wall, filed by Trump International Golf Links Ireland and reviewed by POLITICO, explicitly cites global warming and its consequences — increased erosion due to rising sea levels and extreme weather this century — as a chief justification for building the structure.
" President Clinton’s attorney, David Kendall, denied the allegations on his client’s behalf. Clinton refused to comment further on the issue."

Frank Zappa on what went wrong:

Comment further? Bill Clinton has never said one word about Juanita Broaddrick’s repeated public accusations that he raped her. The news media have never asked him one question about it. It’s as if Juanita Broaddrick doesn’t exist, much less deserves to be heard, believed or supported.

“Comment further” in this form means “make any comment beyond what I authorised my attorney to say”, in English, at least.

If they didn’t ask him any questions, how did they know he refused to comment?

I must be a lot older than you, because I remember quite a bit of comment, including numerous interviews with her.
Hey,why didn’t Dave Souter reply to Erick Erickson’s charge that he was a goat-fucking child molester?

“Juanita Broaddrick is not a survivor of sexual assault”: Hillary’s probable reply in her own mind.- but, yea, a dumb thing to say.

Does Anita Hill deserve to be heard, believed, and supported? How about Ivana Trump? How about Tamana Brawley?

I think that Hillary Clinton’s more probable reply is that Juanita Broaddrick is just another “bimbo eruption”.

I’m also certain that if Anita Hill had repeatedly publicly accused Justice Thomas of violently raping her rather than merely making off-color jokes in the workplace he wouldn’t have been allowed to hide behind his lawyer for decades.

Sex assaults attracting public attention that I remember:

Tamana Brawley
The Central Park wilding
Duke Lacrosse
Clarence Thomas
Denis Hastert
Bill Clinton
Bill Cosby
Mattress girl
Donald Trump

Who was guilty or innocent in each case? Who was first accused and then exonerated? Who skated for years and was then charged?

Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades were examined with a microscope by Ken Starr who was extremely eager (not to mention rabidly partisan) to nail him for something, and finally did: Monica Lewinsky. It took seven years, and cost $70 million. Why, at that time, with almost unlimited powers ands funds, did he not bring up Broaddrick? Why did the Republican Congressmembers directing the impeachment, who had seen Broaddrick’s testimony to the independent counsel, not bring it up?

Did Bill Clinton rape Juanita Broaddrick? I don’t know, and neither does anybody else except the two of them- it is the classic “he said, she said” problem.

But let us agree that both Bill and Donald are sleazy adulterous lying womanisers who are at least guilty of sexual harrassment.
Are either of them guilty of sexual assault or rape? Again, we don’t know.

But my original statement stands.

The Clintons would be the last ones to make their “marriage” a campaign issue, seeing as how they haven’t lived together since they left the White House and live separate lives in Washington DC and New York. Keeping her double life under wraps was the reason Hillary Clinton went to such lengths to setup a private email server.

And yet another new reason. I am telling you, I really believe it has to do with the Clinton Foundation, not Benghazi, not state “secrets,” but the Clinton Foundation.

Its down to the Ego-maniac versus the Wicked Witch it seems.

Oh, right, I forgot you were the “Hillary is a rug-muncher and supplied Bill with potential rape victims as part of the cover-up” conspiracy nut.

Ad hominems are a declaration of intellectual bankruptcy.

Oh Donald… you outdo yourself, again:

Trump Humiliates Himself By Claiming That There Is No Drought In California
“We’re going to solve your water problem. You have a water problem that is so insane. It is so ridiculous where they’re taking the water and shoving it out to sea…They don’t understand — nobody understands it. There is no drought…

…I have received many many environmental rewards. Rewards and awards. I have done very well environmentally, and I’m all for it, but you have some people that really just wanna get in the way, and I don’t know if it’s for their ego or what. But you know we want jobs, we have to bring jobs back, and if we can bring this part of the world water that we have, but it’s true I’ve gotten so many of the awards and I am proud of them, and there are some great environmentalists….If I win, we’re going to start opening up the water, so that you can have your farmers survive.
At Forbes, I saw Tim Worstall actually attempts to defend Donald’s usually barely-coherent statement by talking about price. But he never manages to tie that issue to what Trump actually says; nor does he ever come close to proving there is no drought in California!
