I love watching flights on Flight Radar, so that is the same kind of thing, but not live, right?
Interestingly, just yesterday I was in one of those newer MRT cars in Taipei, which are equipped with digital displays, and I thought they should have maps where the car one is taking moves on the map in real time. That’d be cool. It will come one day.
Looks cool, but it does not seem to stop loading. How long should I wait…?

On the new Sanying line a few days ago a man brandished a utility knife on the MRT! The man was upset his bag was hit by a 4yr. old girl so in his anger he pulled out a knife. Other passengers subdued the man until police arrived.
Yesterday a 15yr. old pulls out a butterfly knife on the red line to play with it. 
Turns out it was just a plastic knife, but wow talk about a terrible idea. The teenager was fined.
It’s crazy how many people have anger issues.
I was actually assaulted by a bus passenger recently myself

After trying to talk tough and made numerous threats against my safety. He ran away. It’s under investigation.
I’ve been miffed at new transit-unfriendly policies made by the Hou Regime that make it difficult and time consuming for encumbered and disabled passengers so I’ve started documenting the issues at hand to present to the city.
A passenger didn’t like that I was recording and decided violence was a better option.
I wasn’t even recording him.
The wording in the Social Order Maintenance Act (SOMA) is intentionally broad to act as a “catch-all” for public disturbances, which naturally raises valid concerns about police overreach and subjective enforcement.
Living in Taiwan one should know what to do, if police is overreacting.

The last part of that report mentions a promotion campaign in which some people may have a chance to win a trip to London and Tokyo.
I think it would have been better if the prize was a chance to win a trip to Danshui or Sanxia.

That extremely long and convoluted station name is not cheap, you know! They had to buy a lot of letters and Chinese characters for that.

It’s in a largely forgotten corner of Taipei City: deepest darkest Nangang, and I don’t mean the gleaming Nangang Station or Nangang Exhibition Hall areas.
I visited that area rather regularly when a joint called Yogi Dosa was operating around there. It was an eye opener for me, even as someone who’s lived on this island for multiple decades: a poor looking and neglected part of the capital which I had previously not known about (though I had heard of Nangang’s reputation, I could finally understand it).
