I hate them. Something must be done to stop these menaces. I know some forums fix them automagically. Is there a hack/add-on for phpBB to do the same? Giving me supermod powers so I can fix one every time I see one is acceptable as well.
“streatch”???

Squeal on the post and we’ll try to fix it right away. It doesn’t happen very often.
We can check phpBB.com/mods and phpBBhacks.com for ways to help it. If you find a solution before me - you can post it here, PM me or email me the link
I routinely PM the person with this:
Hello!
Here’s a standard description of how to shorten the links that you paste, so as not to stretch the page, which makes readers have to scroll horizontally to read all posts on the page. If you already know how to do this but forgot to, please disregard.
Hope this helps!
Yes, streatch, like this post in the IP forum (maybe you been there when you’re not pointing out other people’s typos) which may be the tad on the wide side on some people’s systems although it’s fine on mine, just wanted to look for something to embarrass jd forumosa.com/taiwan/viewtopic.php?p=566005 (longest link I could find off hand, there have been longer) :raspberry:
:nyah:
It is a problem, the Taiwan Politics forum is even worse for that.
is this ebonics?
very helpful db … i had no idea of how to do that.
cheers
Posters can also use tinyurl.com.

streatch
is this ebonics?
No…the correct Ebonification would be…"Stree-aaa-tch this…Bii-aaa-tch!."
