Does anyone know where in Taipei city I may be able to find a costume shop or other retail store that sells fake beards/moustaches? Or in the absence of fake facial hair, has anyone had any previous experience with DIY materials to give the appearance of a beard and moustache on an elementary school student?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Go to Ximen and find/ask about the costume shops. There are dozens of them there and you can either rent a full costumes or buy simple accessories and make-up. I am sure they have fake mustache and beards for sale.
