One of my co-workers is looking for a good buxiban in Yilan for her two kids, age 6 and 9 (kindergarten da ban, and 4th grade). Any suggestions?
Edison American School is the one that instantly comes to mind but that’s mostly because I’ve had friends working there. I know it has kindergarten and elementary aged classes and most people who have worked there insist it is a good school. The one in Ilan city had a high staff turnover last year which is more staff-related than student-related.

Formosa is pretty good as well but that is in Lo-dong (03) 961-2558. If your friend needs one in I-lan city there’s a new one called Maple Leaf Education Centre (03) 931-1627. It’s run by a Canadian but I’m not sure if they have a kindi. Those are the only two that I have phone numbers for although there are a number of other ones here like Happy Marion etc.
