My name is Andrew, my parents are Taiwanese but I was born in the UK where I currently live in London. My timezone is UK (7 hours behind Taiwan) so I’m looking for an online/video tutor to provide regular lessons in the mornings. I have some conversational Mandarin but my reading and writing is poor. I’m looking for someone to tutor and provide conversation practise, and also some basic reading and writing lessons (Traditional Chinese with hanyu pinyin preferred).

So anyone searching this topic in the future - I found the most effective way to find a Taiwanese tutor was to visit this Facebook group: Redirecting... Looking for Tutors or Language Exchange in Taipei and Taiwan
I made a post there and about 30 tutors responded. There are even more active on the group. 1hr private video classes range from $600-900 on average, however some people were trying to charge $1000+ (good luck!) so there are plenty of people willing to tutor online, all of them seemed to have a lot of availability so the market is very saturated right now.
