If anybody knows a luthier in Taipei I’d appreciate to hear about it. My double bass has suffered a rather large crack in the top (from temperature- and humidity variations) and a smaller “injury” on the lower bout, I’d like to at least hear an estimate how much these repairs would set me back … thanks.
I’m also looking for other people for some relaxed jamming (jazz, blues, funk …) btw … Xpet.
I’ll be moving to taipei and I’m looking for some musicians to get some jazz gigs. Do you know a lot of tunes? I play guitar. I also build them, so maybe I can repair the crack if you don’t find a luthier (and if it’s not too severe).

I did manage to get hold of two numbers for luthiers in the greater Taipei area, but I must admit that I haven’t called them yet … the crack is pretty substantial I’m afraid (extending all the way from the lower bout’s edge to almost one of the f-holes …) and so, I fret, will be the bill for the repairs, if it can be done at all …
