Thank you to everyone who has been so helpful as we plan our move to Taiwan! My newest question concerns paper/snail-mail that we receive in the USA. Has anyone used a good service that will forward your mail to Taiwan? I know USPS does, but it is closer to $90usd/mo, which seems insane for just a few letters here and there. Thank you in advance!
I have used myus.com for many years. Mostly use it for packages though. For mail you will need to sign form 1583 and have it authorized. If done in Taiwan requires a visit to the AIT.
If it’ll suffice, you can use something like anytimemailbox.com to get scanned PDF copies of letters. They can forward them too if needed, and you just choose which ones you want case-by-case. I had them forward a credit card for me no problem.
