Sodomy, even if consensual, is punishable by up to 20 years’ imprisonment under Section 377B of the Malaysian Penal Code.

Lesbian sodomy? Not that it doesn’t exists, but … well.
“Sodomy” is a bit of a weird word. In legal terms it sometimes means any sexual activity that isn’t going to lead to reproduction - so sodomy laws may criminalize any same-sex sexual relationship, or heterosexual oral sex.

I one had a taxi threaten to call the police when he saw I was departing the hotel and my gf was waving bye. Asked me if she was Malaysian and when I replied yes, he got mad. I was only taking a taxi across town.
