If so, are you buying the mandarin versions? or downloading scanlated Zip files? Just curious.

Naruto, in particular, seems to be having quite a powerful effect on Taiwan’s psyche — basicallly every day, i see someone on the MRT reading it.
I heard that it recently entered the bestseller list in the US. Not the graphic novel bestseller list — but the top ten for all printed books.
