I think when they measure yields for nukes they’re measured based on radiation, pressure wave, and such. The Hiroshima bomb I think was reported to be 16 kilotons but that’s including all the thermal radiation that it released. Meaning if say thousands of tons of ammonium nitrate exploded, it would actually be worse because nearly all their energy is explosive energy. So say 16 kilotons of tnt exploding would do more damage.
